Roger and Heather Millen of Cortland, New York have a nursery trial every year at the close of Scott's clinic. This year, I was unable to take pictures as I was doing some set out so I just have the qualifying scores. Both runs (last night and this morning) were cool and overcast keeping the farm broke katahdin sheep quite happy and allowing the young dogs to have the time to fix their mistakes. The field is a deceptively steep, grassy hill.
Scott got the first leg on his Nan dog who I have not profiled before because she had broken her foot back in March. Due to the little training she had, the healing time for her foot and our travels, we didn't think she'd be ready to run in the nurseries this year. I will do a bio and pictures on her later.
NURSERY ONE (14 dogs)
1. Scott Glen and Reba 85
2. Dave Fetterman and Duff 78
3. Michele Higgins and Rush 77
NURSERY TWO (13 dogs)
1. Scott Glen and Nan 85
2. Scott Glen and Reba 76
3. Dee Woessner and Ben 73
